Frequently Asked Questions
About The Work:
-
Yoga therapy is a personalized, client-centered practice that uses yoga tools — movement, breathwork, meditation, and mindfulness — to support your physical, emotional, and energetic well-being. Rather than a one-size-fits-all class, each yoga therapy session is designed just for you, meeting you where you are and addressing your unique needs, goals, and experience.
In our sessions, we’ll co-create wellness goals together by looking at all parts of your experience — your physical body, your energy, your emotions, your inner wisdom, and your sense of joy and connection. This helps us design a plan of care that supports your whole self, rather than just focusing on one area.
After each session, I’ll provide a tailored home-care plan, weaving the insights and practices from our work together, to support you between sessions and stepping into a more embodied life.
-
Reiki is a gentle form of energy healing and relaxation technique that supports the body’s natural ability to restore balance and harmony. During a session, you’ll lie down (fully clothed) while I place my hands lightly on or above the body to encourage energetic flow and deep relaxation. Clients often describe sensations of warmth, tingling, or calm — and a profound sense of peace and presence.
-
Sound Healing uses instruments such as crystal singing bowls, chimes, and gentle percussion to bring the body and mind into a state of deep rest and resonance. The vibration of sound helps regulate the nervous system, quiet the mind, and release stagnant energy — creating a space for restoration and clarity. Many clients describe it as a meditative, peaceful experience that leaves them feeling grounded, spacious, and renewed.
-
Each session begins with a brief check-in to see how you’re feeling physically, mentally, and energetically. From there, we co-create a practice based on your goals and what feels most supportive that day. You may be guided through gentle movement, breath, meditation, Reiki, or sound — always at a pace that feels safe and restorative. You’ll leave with simple tools or reflections to carry the benefits into daily life.
Preparing for Your Session:
-
Not at all! I meet my clients exactly where they’re at.
Each session is customized to you, giving us space to explore together and focus on what feels right for you in the moment.
I’m here to guide and support you, whether you’re new to yoga, body-based practices, a seasoned practitioner or simply curious about reconnecting with your body and mind through a yogic lens!
-
Wear something comfortable that allows you to move and breathe with ease — yoga or lounge-style clothing is perfect. Mats, blankets, and props are provided for in-person sessions, but you’re welcome to bring anything that helps you feel grounded or cozy. For virtual sessions, choose a quiet space with enough room to move and rest comfortably.
Booking + Beginning
-
If you’re unsure, I recommend starting with a free Connection Call. It’s a 20–30 minute conversation where we explore your goals, talk through my offerings — Yoga Therapy, Reiki & Energy Healing, and Sound Healing — and sense what feels most aligned for you.
-
You can request a session directly through the Booking Request Form on my website or begin with a Connection Call if you’d like a 1:1 consultation first. Once your form is received, I’ll reach out within a few days with available times and next steps.
Logistics + Philosophy
-
I offer in-person and virtual sessions for yoga therapy and private yoga instruction. (I recommend in-person sessions for Reiki + Sound Healing) You can choose the format that works best for you.
In-person sessions can be held at my studio space in Winooski, VT, in your home, or another location we agree on — I’m happy to travel within and around the Burlington to you!
Virtual sessions will be conducted via zoom. This gives you the freedom to practice from your own space, and making it possible to work together from anywhere in the U.S. or even around the world.
Wherever we meet, each session is customized to your body, energy, and needs, weaving in movement, breath, meditation, and mindfulness practices to help you reconnect, release, and feel more grounded and aligned.

I do not currently accept insurance, and most medical insurance plans do not yet cover Yoga Therapy, Reiki, or Sound Healing, as these are considered complementary wellness modalities.
However, if you have a Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA), your provider may offer reimbursement for wellness or integrative health services. I encourage you to reach out to your provider to confirm what’s covered, and I’m happy to provide supporting documentation — such as detailed invoices or session summaries — to help with reimbursement if your plan allows it.
While sessions are self-pay, I’m deeply committed to accessibility and offer session packages and occasional sliding-scale options to help make this work more available and sustainable for those who feel called to it.

A Soft Place is both a name and an intention, a sanctuary where you can land exactly as you are. It represents gentleness, compassion, and the belief that healing doesn’t have to be forced. My hope is that through this work, you rediscover your own soft place within: a sense of steadiness, safety, and peace that you can return to again and again.
