1:1 Integrative Yoga Therapy
A personalized, heart-centered approach to healing through movement, breath, and awareness. Come home to your body and rediscover ease, clarity, and connection.
“Yoga teaches that the whole of life is a journey of healing—healing all dimensions of the being—and the end of that journey is freedom within ourselves and unity with the world around us.”
— Joseph Le Page (Founder of Integrative Yoga Therapy)
Yoga therapy is a personalized, client-centered practice that uses yoga tools such as movement, breathwork, meditation, and mindfulness to support your physical, emotional, and energetic well-being. Rather than a one-size-fits-all class, each yoga therapy session is designed just for you, meeting you where you are and addressing your unique needs, goals, and challenges.
In our sessions, we’ll co-create wellness goals together by looking at all parts of your experience — your body, your energy, your emotions, your inner wisdom, and your sense of joy and connection. This helps us design a practice that supports your whole self, rather than just focusing on one area.
What is Yoga Therapy?
Yoga Therapy Is For Anyone Seeking:
Greater ease and balance in body and mind
Support in managing stress, tension, or chronic discomfort
Deeper connection with emotions, energy, and intuition
Tools to cultivate presence, self-compassion, and clarity
Understanding the Layers of You
Yoga therapy considers the whole person, the body, mind, energy, emotions, inner wisdom, and our sense of connection. In the yoga framework, these aspects are viewed through five interconnected layers called “The Koshas.” These layers help guide how we co-create your personalized wellness goals.
-
What it is: Your muscles, bones, organs, and nervous system — the tangible, physical aspects of your being.
How this layer may present: Tension, stiffness, fatigue, or discomfort; feeling out of alignment or low in vitality.
Ways we nurture it: Gentle movement, restorative postures, alignment practices, somatic awareness, and tools from Ayurveda (like considering your elements and dosha) to support comfort, stability, and vitality.
-
What it is: The flow of life-force energy (prana) throughout your system, including the nadis (energy channels) and chakras (energy centers).
How this layer may present: Feeling blocked, low in energy, restless, or imbalanced breathing patterns.
Ways we nurture it: Breathwork, energy-based practices, Reiki, pranavidya, and guided awareness to restore harmony and vitality.
-
What it is: Your emotional patterns and how you process feelings
Ways this layer may show tension or stress: Anxiety, grief, irritability, or emotional overwhelm
How we nurture this layer: Mindfulness, reflection, and body-based practices to release stuck emotions and cultivate emotional resilience
-
What it is: Your inner guidance, intuition, and ability to make aligned choices
Ways this layer may show tension or stress: Feeling uncertain, disconnected from values, or lacking clarity
How we nurture this layer: Meditation, guided reflection, and practices that support self-awareness and clarity
-
What it is: Your sense of joy, peace, and connection, to yourself, others, and life itself.
How this layer may feel: Disconnected, flat, or out of sync.
Ways we support it: Mindfulness, sound healing, energy work, and practices that nurture presence, ease, and a sense of wholeness.
Yoga Therapy As A Process
Yoga therapy is a personalized journey that unfolds at your own pace, helping you explore your body, energy, emotions, wisdom, and sense of presence. This is a process, not a quick fix. I recommend starting with a least 5 sessions so we can co-create goals, try practices, and integrate tools between sessions.
At the start of each session, we check in on your body, mind, and energy, then design the session to support what feels most aligned and nourishing in the moment. You’ll also receive a home care plan and customized practices such as gentle movement, breathwork, or reflection prompts, to carry the benefits of each session into your daily life.
What to Expect in a Session
Each Yoga Therapy session is tailored to you and designed to meet your body, mind, emotions, and energy where you are. Sessions are collaborative, allowing you to move from “doing” into simply being.
A typical session may include:
Check-in: Explore how your body, mind, and energy are feeling in the moment
Opening / Grounding: Gentle techniques to center, settle, and connect with yourself
Practice: A combination of yoga tools such as:
Movement practices (gentle, restorative, somatic-based postures)
Breathwork & pranayama
Mindfulness & meditation
Visualization, mudras, or mantras
Yoga Nidra / deep relaxation
Integration / Closing: Reflect, set intentions, and discuss home practices and tools to carry the benefits into daily life.
Integrative Sessions
If you’re interested in incorporating the other healing modalities I offer, we can enhance your yoga therapy session with Reiki and/Sound Healing to create a deeper, more immersive experience. These modalities can be:
Integrated into your Yoga Therapy session: Seamlessly woven into the session to support energy flow, relaxation, and presence. (Will be included within your 60 min session time)
Added as dedicated extra time: If you’d like a focused Reiki or Sound Healing experience, we can extend your session to include this additional time. (option to add 30 or 60 minutes onto your session time)
These integrative options are completely optional and tailored to your needs and preferences. Whether woven into your Yoga Therapy practice or added as an extra session component, they provide another pathway to support your body, mind, and energy, helping you feel more balanced, present, and restored.
